The Dungeon Reality Show

Some time ago, I created a silly variation of D&D 4e where the adventurers were all participants in some sort of reality show.  You can find a badly edited PDF version of the variant here.  I played it to various degrees of success back in 2009.

A few weeks ago, as I began meeting more and more local French media geeks (from TV, podcats and blogs), I decided that it would be cool to showcase the fun of D&D 4e to people who hadn’t played in a long time or, better yet, never played tabletop RPGs.

I had the game today and I’ll post about it on the main blog over the next week.  In the meantime, I thought you would like to see a teaser.  So here are some of the “Sponsored items” cards I created for a group of level 2 D&D Essentials characters.  Click to enlarge into a legible format.

Note these are all items I took from the D&D Compendium and re-wrote the fluff for.

It was a blast to play… Looking forward to tell you more about it.

Hehe! These are awesome, dude!! I was, like “L”, but then, an “OL”-typed “L” came up.

Absolutely love the creativity in these :)

Did you have a french version as well, or was the group blédingue enough to roll with the english fluff?
